Cleveland, Tennessee, woman charged in shooting death of husband

A Cleveland, Tennessee, woman is facing charges in connection with the shooting death of her husband, according to a news release from the Bradley County Sheriff's Office.

Britany Taylor, 46, has been charged with second-degree murder after Bradley County sheriff's deputies responded to a residence on Old Parksville Road Sunday night. Taylor called 911 and informed the dispatcher that "her husband had been shot during a disagreement between the two of them," the release stated.

Deputies arrived at the residence along with emergency personnel to find the victim, 49-year-old Mike Brian Taylor, dead at the scene from a gunshot. Britany Taylor was then detained for questioning, according to investigators.

Investigators processed the scene for several hours, and after consulting with the 10th Judicial District Attorney's Office, Britany Taylor was placed into custody at the Bradley County Jail and charged with murder.

The investigation is ongoing.
