Police searching for bank robbery suspect

Police are searching for a woman who robbed a First National Bank in North Georgia today.

A woman walked into the bank in Tunnel Hill and demanded money from a teller around 10:30 a.m., Whitfield County sheriff's deputy Rick Swiney said.

The robber left the bank with an undetermined amount of money and fled north on Highway 41 toward Catoosa County in a Dodge Ram pickup truck, Swiney said in a news release.

Authorities are seeking a white female about 30 years old with dark black hair. She is about five feet, four inches tall and weighs between 160 and 180 pounds.
