Body of fisherman found

Rescue workers discovered the body of Richard Wilkey this morning at 8 a.m. in Chickamauga Lake.

His body was found 2 miles downstream from where a collision between Mr. Wilkey's fishing boat and a barge took place on Saturday evening, said Bill Tittle, Hamilton County Emergency Management chief.

The collision between the fishing boat and the tugboat led to the death of Tim Stidle, 45, of Elizabethton, Tenn. Mr. Wilkey's nephew, David "Chris" Wilkey, 37, of Soddy-Daisy, survived with no injuries. The men had been operating a trotline for catfish in a 15-foot rig.

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is continuing its investigation, officials said.
