Two killed in Bradley County shooting

Two people were found shot to death at a residence in Charleston, Tenn., Monday night, and deputies are searching for a suspect they believe is heavily armed, according to the Bradley County Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff's deputies and Bradley County EMS workers were dispatched to the scene around 8:45 p.m. Inside the home, they found the bodies of two adults, according to sheriff's spokesman Stan Clark.

Detectives are aggressively looking for Aaron Dean Lawson, 32, who was last seen driving a 1997 Maroon or Red Ford Explorer. He is to be considered armed and dangerous and has active warrants for 2 counts of First Degree Murder, police said.

Deputies did not release the victims' names Tuesday night.

Clark said deputies believe the suspect is driving a maroon, mid-1990s Ford Explorer with a black tailgate.

The sheriff's department released no additional information regarding suspect information or a motive.

Charleston is located in the northern part of Bradley County, near McMinn County.
