Police seek robbery suspect

Crime Stoppers this week is looking for a man who beat and robbed a neighbor in North Chattanooga.

According to a police news release, an elderly Spears Avenue resident opened the door Thursday to a man who asked to use her phone. She told police she had known the man from the neighborhood for a long time.

Once inside, he asked for money. She gave him $8, but he demanded more and punched her in the eye, police said. She gave him more money, but he still choked and pushed her before leaving with the money, a cell phone and a chain saw, police said.

Police are seeking Casey Lee Anderson on a warrant for robbery.

Anderson, 28, is 6 feet tall and 200 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. He has several tattoos on his arms and one on the side of his neck. His last known address is 7101 Levi Road, and he has relatives in North Chattanooga.

Anyone who knows Anderson's whereabouts could earn a reward up to $1,000 by a confidential call to 423-698-3333.
