911 operator helps nab driver
An inadvertent phone call landed an allegedly drunken driver in jail after someone in a group of people dialed 911 while arguing and laughing about who was the most sober to drive.
The 911 operator was able to locate the location of the call and dispatched Chattanooga Police Department officers to the area between 3800 block and 4700 blocks of Hixson Pike just after 3 a.m. on July 23.
Domingo Baltazar, 24, of Indiantown, Fla., was arrested after officers witnessed him weaving back and forth from lane to lane. Two containers of partially consumed alcohol were found inside the vehicle, according to Chattanooga police reports.
Dalton police search for burglar

After breaking into a car on July 17 at Saul Raisin Bike Park at Raisin Way and Brooker Drive, the suspect later used the credit card at a Kangaroo gas station on Cleveland Highway, police said.
The break-in occurred between 7 and 8 p.m. and the victims discovered the theft after returning from the bike trails, police said.

Resident, intruder injured in fight
A 30-year-old man remains in jail after being accused of entering a residence, wielding a knife and asking one of the occupants, "Where is the money?"
Jeffrey Eastman, of Red Bank, faces a charge of aggravated assault, aggravated burglary and theft over $1,000, according to an arrest report. His highest bond for a single charge is $30,000, according to the jail website.
Once the knife-wielding man entered the home on July 23, the occupant grabbed two knives and the two men wound up injured. The robber fled the residence, located in the 1200 block of Northern Hills Road.
Man charged in carjacking
Chattanooga police have arrested a 23-year-old man in connection with a carjacking, according to an arrest report.
Charles A. Kyle, of Chattanooga, is accused of placing a revolver to the head of the driver of a car in which Kyle was a passenger on July 24. He ordered the man to get out of the vehicle before taking the car, according to the report.
Kyle is charged with aggravated robbery.
Pharmacy robbery suspect arrested
A woman has been arrested in North Charleston, S.C., in connection to area pharmacy robberies.
Jacqueline Christine Kelly was arrested July 20 while she was attempting to rob a pharmacy in South Carolina. Police did not give her age.
Kelly; Aaron D. Reynolds, 28; and Arnulfo R. Canales, 26, told authorities they robbed several pharmacies in Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina and Alabama.
The group is believed to have robbed the CVS pharmacy, 8034 East Brainerd Road on July 9.
The FBI is seeking federal charges in more than 20 cases involving the group.
Reynolds and Canales were picked up in Crossville by authorities.
During the July 9 robbery, a man entered the pharmacy just after 5 p.m. and passed a note to a pharmacy technician. The note told the tech he was armed and ordered her to give him oxycodone.
The man then brandished the gun, told the pharmacy tech she had 45 seconds to comply and began counting backward. He fled with a bag full of medication.
