Bounce house deflates at Riverpark with children inside

A bouncy house at the Ronald McDonald House Charities Autumn Children's Festival at the Tennessee deflated suddenly on Saturday with about a dozen children inside, according to Chattanooga Fire Department spokesman Bruce Garner.

Chattanooga-Hamilton County Rescue workers were able to immediately respond when the air began rushing from the inflatable building shortly after 2:30 p.m. The rescue personnel calmed the parents and were able to retrieve the children, Garner said.

There were no apparent injuries, Garner said.

"I'm sure it was scary for the parents," he said, "but, thankfully, the Hamilton County Rescue personnel were right there on the spot."
