Operation Homefront, an organization that provides emergency assistance to the family members of those serving or injured in the military, will hold a Freedom Walk at Camp Jordan in East Ridge on Sunday to commemorate the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
The guest speaker at the event will be retired four-star Army general and LaFayette, Ga., native Ronald Griffith, who served in both the Vietnam and first Gulf wars.
Registration begins at 8 a.m., and the event will be from 1 to 3:30 p.m.
This is the sixth year of Operation Homefront's Freedom Walks.
