Jeff Markman, vice president of Markman's in Chattanooga, presented a check for $1,700 to Sarah Aligo, director of development for the Chattanooga Area Food Bank. The check was presented as a result of the recent Vault Event Fundraiser held at Markman's located outside Hamilton Place.

The Vault Event Fundraiser offered jewelry from its vault with a portion of the profit donated to the Chattanooga Area Food Bank.

"We are extremely happy to make a donation to such a deserving organization like the Chattanooga Area Food Bank," Markman said. "Markman's has had a long tradition of giving back to the community, and we wanted our Vault Event Fundraiser to be a continuation of that spirit of charity."
