Synovus Lafayette team members demonstrate that Here Matters in Walker County. The Synovus Lafayette team donated money to help The Cottage in its efforts to provide shelter for boys and girls of Walker, Dade, Catoosa and Chattooga counties. The Cottage is a private, nonprofit residential facility that serves dependent, abused and/or neglected children. It is affiliated with the Family Crisis Center of WDCC, Inc. Aside from providing for the basic needs of our children, such as food, shelter and clothing, The Cottage provides much more. It partners with Lookout Mountain Community Services to provide counseling for the children.

The Cottage also partners with the Georgia Teen Work Program that provides job sites for our older youth during the months of June and July. The Teen Work Program pays their salaries while the youths work to obtain job skills that will benefit them in the future.
