Good Deed: Good Samaritan saves family vacation

On our way out of town on vacation to Myrtle Beach, we stopped at the gas station across from Baylor School. I pulled my wallet out of my pocket, charged my credit card, and put my wallet on top of our car. Starting the pump, I went into the station. Coming out of the station I put the pump up and went to the road.

Just a mile before getting to the Dalton exit, my phone rang. On the other end was Rob Robinson, a Realtor whom I didn't know. He said he had been passing Baylor and noticed money blowing in the street. He stopped and picked up over $300, then found a wallet with my name in it, and asked if I had lost my wallet. Verifying my loss, he told me when he had arrived at his office he went to Facebook to see if I was listed and found my mobile phone number. I couldn't believe my luck. Had I found my wallet and money gone further down the road, and my debit card missing, we would have had to cancel our vacation.

Upon arriving at Rob's office, I found Rob with a big smile on his face. What an occasion. He seemed at least as glad as I was that he was able to contact me and return the wallet and the money. His warmth was so genuine. He is on the right side of our creator, as am I. Thank you, God, for men like Rob Robinson.
