This has been a year-long renovation project, and it's finally done. The updated Erlanger Serenity Garden is open at the downtown campus.

Thanks to donations from Komatsu and Healthcare Services Credit Union, the garden is once again a place where patients and their families can spend time in a secluded area away from the hospital. Research has shown that a garden is good for your mind, body and spirit.

This project has been all about gratitude and giving back to others. Members of Chattanooga's Japanese community along with our wonderful Master Gardeners of Hamilton County took part in the planning and renovation of the garden.

Everyone can agree that the world needs a lot more kindness, but paying it forward takes desire and initiative. Thank you to everyone who came out to help support this project.
