Becky Arrowsmith is a veteran U.S. Postal Service letter carrier whose downtown route includes the business for which I work, James "Cody" Sims' Ameriprise Financial Office in Brabson Place, as well as the entire UTC campus and contingent student residences. She is a dedicated, cheerful, professional government employee who takes her work very seriously and completes each delivery with care and a smile.
With the challenge presented by COVID-19 and the increase in package delivery to all stops on her route, particularly the UTC student population, her workload has grown significantly. Without complaint, Becky always delivers our mail efficiently and timely. She goes above and beyond to warmly greet each person on her route no matter the temperature or timing. She is truly the epitome of a selfless and dedicated civil servant who takes to heart the importance of her work and the USPS informal motto: "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds."
With the recent discussions about our nation's postal system, it is affirming to know that the USPS has Becky as an ambassador. She and her fellow letter carriers are worthy of our thanks and appreciation.
