Mickey McCamish is a selfless citizen servant. Whether volunteering on behalf of our nation's veterans, leading Friends of the Festival, directing the Chattanooga Classic, or supporting the Epilepsy Foundation, his tireless work improves the quality of life for our community.
Through his volunteer work with Wreaths Across America and his leadership of efforts to re-envision community entertainment offerings including the Riverbend Festival, I have had the privilege of knowing Mickey and seeing how hard he works to make Chattanooga the place we love.
As the realities of COVID, changes in entertainment markets, and other factors have led to the present state of Friends of the Festival, may we all remember how much Mickey and others did to bring world class entertainment to our city.
He often remarks on how his most rewarding work is all that he does on behalf of our veterans. As he continues to lead those efforts on several fronts, may we thank him and wish him the continued success which brings deserved respect and honor to our veterans and distinction to our city.
