The Rotary Club of Chattanooga Hamilton Place recently celebrated its 29th annual Scholarship Golf Tournament at Bear Trace Golf Course. Sponsors included Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory & Florist-Dignity Memorial, Harry Fields, Coca-Cola, Texas Roadhouse, ABRA Auto Body and Glass, Honda of Cleveland, and numerous others that make this tournament a success.
Proceeds from the club's annual fundraiser have helped the Rotary Club provide more than 170 nontraditional students with more than $500,000 in scholarships to continue and complete their education at UTC and Chattanooga State.
The fundraiser also supports the club's local community service activities such as providing coats and library books to elementary school children; providing Christmas food boxes to Bethel Bible Village; supporting the Community Kitchen's annual food drive; and supporting the club's adopted school, Bess T. Shepherd Elementary.
