The Georgia Regional Mustang Club held its 2nd annual Mustang Cruise Up to the 6th Cavalry Museum on Sept. 11.

Fort Oglethorpe Mayor Pro-Tem Paula Stinnett was asked to conduct a memorial service at the event, which attracted Ford Mustang lovers from around the region. The tribute to those who died in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks concluded with her reading the names of the 13 soldiers who were killed on Aug. 26, 2021, at the Kabul airport in Afghanistan and the tolling of a bell after each name.

On behalf of the club and all those who attended, thank you, Ms. Stinnett, for doing such a dignified memorial service.

Dale Westcott, President of the Georgia Regional Mustang Club
