Trump accountability a reason to vote

I would like to reply to a writer's letter on accountability (Sept. 30).

I couldn't agree more. Elected officials in Washington should be held accountable for their actions. Someday Donald J. Trump, members of his family and others in Washington will have to answer for the lies, and the flagrant abuse of the Constitution and laws of the land.

So, yes, I will be voting for accountability. Thank you so much for reminding me that there is a reason to vote.

Pondering facts, biases, opinions

To the recent writer who believes the TFP's opinions that differ from his are not within the purview of its statement of core values, I suggest there's a significant difference between opinions and both facts and biases.

It's time to elect Danielle Mitchell

Folks, it's time to elect Danielle Mitchell.

Time to have a representative from the 3rd Congressional District who listens to the people she represents. Time to have someone who represents all of us. Time to have someone who knows what it's like to struggle to make ends meet. Time to have someone meet with us and hear our concerns, not go into hiding. Time to have someone work for the people, not for special interests or big money contributors. Time to send a message to Washington that we're tired of partisan politics and want people in office who will work together to solve problems and make this country stronger. Time to bring quality education and well-paying jobs to the 3rd District so its citizens don't have to work two and three jobs to support their families. Time to provide quality health care for all.

If you believe it's time, give your support to Dr. Danielle Mitchell for 3rd District representative. She is the only candidate who makes sense for us and for our country.

Ballot suggestion: Don't vote for GOP

If you have not made up your mind for whom to vote in the coming election, here are a few suggestions:

If you believe Vladimir Putin and his regime of Communist thugs are America's best friends, by all means, vote Republican.

If you are active military or a veteran, supported by our tax dollars, and want to vote for the party led by a known draft dodger and tax cheat? Then, by all means, vote Republican.

If you or anyone in your family or anyone you know has been affected by the opioid epidemic and you have no problem voting for the woman who wrote the bill that exacerbated this crisis, by all means, vote Republican.

If you are a student up to your ears in debt because of student loans and have no problem with billionaire bankers being able to borrow money at less than 1 percent interest while you have to pay 14 percent, by all means, vote Republican.

If you are a female and have no problem with the party led by a man who debases women and brags about grabbing their genitals, by all means, vote Republican.

Maybe these suggestions will help.
