Taxpayers footing bill for biased NPR

Last week NPR (National Public Radio) said this: "President Trump continues to lie, saying he won the election, and that fraud was rampant ..."

It's not that facts may or may not support this, it's that NPR and the mainstream media continue to divide the country with this kind of biased, disrespectful reporting.

It will be interesting to see if the Bidens are treated the same. At the last presidential debate, Joe Biden told the American people [his son] Hunter had not made any money in China.

Sen. Ron Johnson, whose Homeland Security committee is investigating Hunter Biden's overseas dealings, bluntly said, "Joe Biden has been caught in repeated lies over Biden Inc."

NPR is an American publicly and privately funded nonprofit media organization based in Washington D.C. It differs from other nonprofit media organizations in that it was established by an act of Congress and most of its member stations are owned by government entities (often public universities). Its mission statement reads in part: "... to create a more informed public."

How about informing the public with nonbiased reporting for a change? Just present the facts and let the readers, listeners and viewers decide for themselves.

Railroad track tree gift appreciated

The Christmas tree at the railroad tracks on Hickory Valley Road never disappoints; don't miss it!

This year being especially challenging causes us to slow down and "see" the beauty in the things around us; the blessings are truly in the details of life.

So, I encourage you to see this tree and the other good things that surround you and also the good within you. Merry Christmas to all, and a big serving of gratitude to the secret Santa who gives this gift each year.

God bless!

Liberal media protects Joe Biden and family

I recently wrote a reply to an online comment by a liberal who totally insulted me that wasn't censored. My comment was censored. Why? Because I am a conservative.

This liberal newspaper gets away with it just like 90% of the liberal media.

An example is the Biden family controversy. We have a former VP whose son has been caught selling influence around the world, and the mainstream media does not report it. Never mind that the emails have been authenticated (by Tony Bobulinksi), or that former VP Joe Biden has been implicated, that the DNI and FBI have authenticated the emails and said they are not Russian in origin, and that the FBI says this info is being used in a money laundering investigation.

If this had been the Trump children, it would have been all over every lamestream news outlet.

These "journalists" think Trump is so bad that they ignore anything negative about Biden and think it is justified to defeat Trump.

The First Amendment doesn't protect this media because they are propagandists. The First Amendment doesn't apply to people who are dishonest and biased.

The problem is that they don't have enough integrity to be ashamed.

White beard no sub for a mask

From an Associated Press report: "LUDOWICI, Ga. (AP) - Dozens of children who attended a tree lighting event in Georgia may have been exposed to COVID-19 after a pair performing as Santa and Mrs. Claus tested positive for the virus, officials said."

News flash: Dressing up as Santa and Mrs.Claus does not confer COVID immunity to asymptomatic, well-meaning but infected individuals.

A white beard is not a mask, even in Georgia.
