Donald Trump deserves a second term and prayers

Recently I watched as Donald Trump faced a firing squad of reporters. He should have been given a blindfold.

I appreciate the many things he accomplished before the pandemic hit the world. Our economy has never been stronger. The poverty rate hit a record low. He began bringing home troops and jobs. He is strengthening our defense, fulfilling his 2016 campaign promises.

His detractors criticize him for not stopping COVID-19. Nobody could have, but he's the main one being blamed. We all pray that there will soon be a vaccine, no one more fervently than Donald Trump.

Please vote for President Trump for what he has accomplished. And please pray for the president and our beloved country.

What does it say about you if you

If you vote for a man who brags about sexually assaulting women, what does that say about you? If you support a man who turns into an obsequious bootlicker in the presence of Vladimir Putin and fails to support our troops when Putin puts a ransom on their heads, what does that say about you?

If you vote for a racist, white supremacist who imprisons brown children in cages, what does that say about you? If you support a parasite who makes millions of dollars, but doesn't pay any taxes, what does that say about you?

If you vote for a pathological liar who has lied continuously for 3.5 years, what does that say about you? If you excuse the incompetence, arrogance, cluelessness and apathy that has killed more than 206,000 Americans, what does that say about you?

If you turn a blind eye to Trump draining the U.S. Treasury and siphoning taxpayer money to his golf courses and hotel, what does that say about you?

Long ago, H.L. Mencken predicted that the more a president comes to represent the "inner soul of the people," the more likely "the White House will be adorned by a downright moron." Mission accomplished.

Many statues coming down; next the pyramid

Since all of the Confederate statues and anything to do with slavery may be removed or torn down, I suggest the Great Pyramid be torn down or moved to a museum as it too was built with slave labor.

Just sayin'.

Afraid if Trump wins or loses

Everyone will lose in a civil war. Only a few of the leadership on either side will prosper. There will be food shortages, essential supplies will be hard to get, there won't be an organized way to fight COVID-19, no safe way to deliver supplies, medical treatment will be spotty and the actions of the military would be unknown.

President Trump's supporters should realize they will suffer along with the people who voted against him. His supporters should vote against him to get him out of office. President Trump has done everything he can do to stir up trouble about the election. I am very afraid of what will happen whether or not President Trump wins or loses.

We should all pray for the safety of our United States of America.
