Diane Black's record on Planned Parenthood funding is complicated

WASHINGTON - On the campaign trail and on television, Rep. Diane Black portrays herself as a never-back-down fighter and a leader in the war to cut off the flow of federal dollars to the abortion provider Planned Parenthood.

"Why should we be giving taxpayer dollars to an organization that is breaking the law?" the four-term congresswoman and Republican candidate for governor asks in a new ad released by her campaign.

"We should not even be giving them a single penny if they are providing abortion," she said three weeks ago in an appearance on Fox News.
