The matchup: Georgia is without star receiver A.J. Green but returns Tavarres King, the second-leading receiver from a year ago who sat out last week's opener because of a suspension. The biggest key to getting quarterback Murray comfortable in his first road start is to have success early in the ground game. Washaun Ealey is back from suspension to team with Caleb King at tailback, but the pressure is on Georgia's offensive line, which has a recent history of starting the season slowly and wasn't as dominant as expected last week.

The matchup: Garcia threw the ball 53 times in last year's matchup but shouldn't today if Lattimore can get going. The Bulldogs spent last year's matchup reacting to the Gamecocks but will do a lot more attacking this time around as new coordinator Todd Grantham faces longtime league offensive mastermind Steve Spurrier. "Coach Grantham gets excited about coaching football period, and any defensive coach I'm sure knows Coach Spurrier's reputation," Georgia head coach Mark Richt said. "It probably does get them revved up just a little bit more," .

THE ONE TO WATCH

n Aaron Murray: Georgia's redshirt freshman quarterback completed 17 of 26 passes for 160 yards and three touchdowns last week amid the comfort of a home crowd. It's a different setting this afternoon, so will Murray build off last week or get flustered quickly? "Whether it was him throwing the ball well or us winning the game, he got some confidence coming out of the game, and I think other players got confidence in him," Bulldogs offensive coordinator Mike Bobo said. "There is a ton of room for improvement overall to make as an offense and especially him as a quarterback."

IN THE END

Breaking it down: The biggest news all week was Green getting suspended through September, but the Bulldogs have amassed 1,279 yards and 112 points in their last three games without him. The popular pick is South Carolina, especially now that Green is out, but the Bulldogs are 33-6 under Richt in opponents' stadiums, most recently winning last November at Georgia Tech. Watching how Grantham will try to counter Spurrier should be intriguing.

Prediction: Georgia 20, South Carolina 17
