University of Tennessee at Chattanooga defensive end Davis Tull made quite an impact as a redshirt freshman in 2011. He started every game, had five sacks and made the Southern Conference's All-Freshman team. He sat down with the Times Free Press to answer 10 questions covering a variety of topics. Here are the seven most interesting responses:

1. What's the most memorable moment of your athletic career?

"There was one that was pretty sweet in high school. I played wide receiver and I think we were down seven in this game and we needed some momentum. It was like third-and-12 ... and the quarterback throws the ball over my head. I thought it was gone, but I reached up and jumped up, without even anticipating catching it, and I caught it with one hand and pulled it down."

2. Where do you see yourself or hope to be in 10 years?

"I hope I'm successful in whatever I'm doing. What I've been getting into a lot lately is training, and my degree's going to be in exercise science. What I really want to do is open up one of those warehouse gyms somewhere around here. I don't know if that's going to come to fruition, but that'd be cool."

3. If you could only have one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

"Probably my mom's chicken pot pie. I could eat that all day. She puts cheese in there, which a lot of people don't do, but you've got to put the cheese in there."

4. What part of playing college football has been the biggest surprise?

"Everything's really been surprising for me. It wasn't anything I expected it to be. It's definitely a lot more time-consuming than high school."

5. What music, if any, do you listen to before a game?

"Actually, my all-time favorite song before games, and I only listen to it before big games because if I hear it I'll start freaking out -- if it comes on in the weight room, I've got to leave -- is Phil Collins' 'In the Air Tonight.'"

6. What skill do you have that a lot of people don't know about?

"If it's something goofy, I can tuck my ear inside my ear. I did that at a talent show once in high school.

[Davis proceeded to demonstrate the ear tucking, which consisted of working the upper half of his ear into multiple folds and tucking them down inside the lower part that is more connected to the head.] I don't know if that requires a lot of skill. It's actually something I used to do when I was little and it kind of became a habit. I won a talent show with it. This ear's been good to me."

7. If you had to be stranded on a deserted island with two teammates, who would they be and why?

"I guess I'd take Gunner [Miller] because he's a psycho, as we all know. If there's like a monkey or a coconut we need to get, he could head-butt it, probably. The other one -- I probably need someone smart because me and Gunner probably aren't going to get too much done -- would be Adam Miller, maybe. He's smart and I think he's studying architecture or construction, so maybe he could build us a nice little place to hang out in. And then Gunner will be chasing down wild animals and I'll just be living it up."
