Georgia has vaulted to No. 3 in Scout.com's team rankings for the 2014 college football signing class and to No. 6 in the 247sports.com rankings.

Rivals.com lists the 15 commitments for the Bulldogs at No. 12. Tennessee still possessed Rivals.com's No. 1 class as of Saturday evening, with the Volunteers followed by Texas, Kentucky, Florida State and Alabama.

The Bulldogs had 12 commitments entering Friday night but received nonbinding pledges from receiver Shakenneth Williams (6-foot-2, 195 pounds) of Rutland High in Macon, safety Kendall Gant (6-3, 185) of Lake Gibson High in Lakeland, Fla., and offensive tackle Dyshon Sims (6-5, 270), who plays at Lowndes High and is from Clyattville, Ga.

Gant is the only player rated by RIvals.com among the top 50 at his position, checking in as the No. 41 safety. He had an early scholarship list that included Alabama, Florida, Florida State and Ohio State.

Sims and Williams are rated just two-star prospects by RIvals.com, but Sims had early scholarship offers from Alabama, Florida State, Georgia Tech and Tennessee. Williams had early offers from six Southeastern Conference schools, with Kentucky, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Missouri and Vanderbilt joining Georgia.

The Bulldogs are behind only Texas A&M and Alabama in the Scout.com rankings, with Texas and Florida State rounding out the top five. Tennessee is No. 9 according to Scout.com, with Kentucky No. 10.

Alabama's crop of commitments heads the field according to 247sports.com, with Florida State, Miami, Ohio State and Texas next in line before Georgia.
