The NCAA altered the format for its championship tournament after several delays pushed back third-round tee times into today.
For Robb, who is playing as an individual, it meant finishing his second round Sunday -- his first round started Friday morning -- then turning around after a short break and beginning his third round.
It will be his final round.
The NCAA eliminated the round today that was to include the top 40 individuals and ties to determine an individual medalist after 72 holes. Instead, the medalist -- and the eight teams advancing to match play -- will be determined after all players complete 54 holes today from a shotgun start.
Robb, the second UTC golfer to participate in the NCAA championship event as an individual, shot a 5-over-par 75 in his second round, which placed him at 4 over for the tournament.
With one of the three highest scores for an individual through two rounds, he began his third round Sunday. He was 1 under through eight holes when play was halted again for weather. That left him in a tie for 62nd with half the field on the course and the other half waiting until Monday.
Cameron Wilson of Stanford was the 36-hole leader at 6 under, leading teammate Patrick Rodgers by one shot.
The Cardinal shot 12 under during their first two rounds and lead second-place Alabama by four strokes. Georgia Tech is fifth at 1 under, South Carolina is at 4 over, and then Auburn and Vanderbilt are at 6 over. Georgia is on the course in 18th place.
