Rodney Chatman commits to basketball Mocs

6-2 guard from Lithonia, Ga., becomes fourth commit for 2016 recruiting class.

Rodney Chatman, a 6-foot-2 guard for Lithonia High School in Georgia, committed to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's basketball program Wednesday evening.

"Thanks to all the schools and coaches who recruited me but I'm blessed to say that I've committed to The University of Tennessee-Chattanooga to be a student-athlete for the next 4 years #RepTheC," Chatman posted to his Twitter account.

Chatman was a Class 4A All-State selection last season in Georgia. Through six games this season, he was averaging 13 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.8 assists. Last year he averaged 11 points, 5.2 assists and 2.5 steals for the Bulldogs in 2014-15, helping them to the Elite 8.

He becomes the fourth commitment for the 2016 signing class, joining guards David Jean-Baptiste from Miami, Fla.; Makale Foreman (Kingsport) and C.J. Jones (Birmingham, Ala.).
