The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football team dominated the Southern Conference media day preseason polls today.

The defending champion Mocs were selected as the favorites by both the coaches and the media, earning seven of the eight place votes by the coaches and 29 of the 30 first-place votes by the media.

Western Carolina earned the other first-place vote by the media, while Samford received it for the coaches.

Two-time Offensive Player of the Year Jacob Huesman was the preseason offensive player of the year, and was joined by 2014 Jacobs Blocking Award winner Corey Levin as first-team selections on the preseason all-conference offensive team.

The Mocs have five defensive selections on the team: defensive linemen Josh Freeman and Keionta Davis; linebacker Nakevion Leslie; and defensive backs Dee Virgin and Lucas Webb.

Henrique Ribeiro was the first-team kicker.

Offensive linemen Jacob Revis and Synjen Herren were second-team selections, as was receiver C.J. Board.

Cedric Nettles was a second-team defense selection at defensive back.
