UTC's Jasmine Joyner and Keiana Gilbert chosen to try out for USA basketball teams

University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's basketball players Jasmine Joyner and Keiana Gilbert have been selected to try out for various USA basketball teams this summer.

Joyner, a 6-foot-2 rising junior forward, will be given separate tryouts for the Pan American Games as well as the World University Games. Gilbert is one of 19 players chosen to compete for a spot on the U-19 World Championship team.

All of the tryouts will be held on May 14-17 at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Gilbert, who averaged 10.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.2 assists for the Mocs in 2014-15

Joyner averaged 12.0 points, 8.2 rebounds, four blocks and 1.2 steals per game. She's one of 54 selected for the tryouts, which will be held at separate times at the same site.
