The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's basketball team picked up a commitment from 6-foot-4 guard Cairon "C.J." Jones, who preps at Central Park Christian School in Birmingham, Ala.

Jones is ranked as one of the top 15 players in the state of Alabama. Middle Tennessee State had been his only other offer, but he had been in correspondence with Arkansas, La Salle, Memphis, South Alabama, Tennessee and Texas-Rio Grande Valley after a standout summer playing with Birmingham Storm Elite AAU program.

Jones had said recently that UTC's new staff had made him a priority in the summer recruiting period. He had visited the campus this summer.

He becomes the Mocs' second commit of the 2016 signing class, joining guard David Jean-Baptiste.
