The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga basketball programs, coming off NCAA tournament seasons, announced some staff turnover for the 2016-17 season.

On the men's side, Jacob Kurtz has moved to a special assistant to the head coach, a season after serving as the video coordinator. Kevin Easley had previously been announced as an addition to the program, replacing former assistant Reggie Witherspoon, who after one season left to become the new head coach at Canisius in Buffalo, N.Y.

Former assistant Jesse Bopp left and took a similar position at New Mexico State, and was replaced by Eddie Shannon, UTC's director of basketball operations last season. Shannon's new role will allow him an opportunity to get out on the road and recruit some.

His position has been filled by Lauren Mills, who was an administrative assistant. Wesley Pittman will replace Kurtz as the video coordinator.

On the women's side, Jon Goldberg has been moved from graduate assistant to his new position of director of student-athlete development.

"We had an exceptional 2015-16 with both of our basketball squads," Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics David Blackburn said in a release. "You never want to sit back, relax and enjoy success. It's important to try to stay ahead of the competition, and we're confident these staff moves reflect that."

UTC became the first school to win the men's and women's Southern Conference tournament titles in the same season in 2015-16, winning a combined 53 games.
