KNOXVILLE - Tennessee football coach Butch Jones confirmed Friday that he has a new agent.

Jones is now represented by Jimmy Sexton, an industry leader who also represents Alabama's Nick Saban. The shakeup comes after an offseason in which Jones reportedly sought a contract extension. The fifth-year coach had previously been represented by Trace Armstrong.

Jones' contract expires at the end of the 2020 season. Athletic director John Currie said in June that he and Jones had not had any "specific conversations" about a raise or extension and were focusing on the upcoming season.

Tennessee begins preseason practice Saturday.
