Construction has begun on a new baseball stadium at Lee University's Olympic Field in Cleveland, and Lee announced Sunday that it is expected to be ready for the 2019 season.

A release said the stadium will have two levels and encompass about 9,400 square feet, with 356 chair-back seats, an overhanging roof, two handicap-seating sections, enlarged concession areas and restrooms and a press box on the top level.

Lee's coaches will have new office space apart from lockers for 38 players, an athletic training room and separate locker facilities for umpires and Ocoee Middle School players. Dugout space will be increased on both sides of the field.

"We are excited about this project and the future of our baseball program," Lee vice president Cole Strong said in the release. "We believe this stadium will provide an atmosphere the coaches, players and fans will thoroughly enjoy for years to come."
