The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football program has added defensive back Andrew Brown to its 2018 roster as a graduate transfer.
Brown, who is from Decatur, Georgia, played the past two seasons at Football Bowl Subdivision member Florida International University. The Panthers went 8-5 overall and 5-3 in Conference USA last season, falling to Temple in the Gasparilla Bowl.
He started 12 games in 2017, compiling 40 tackles (two for loss), three passes defended, one interception and a team-high three forced fumbles. The 5-foot-9, 174-pounder had 14 starts in all for FIU and totaled 57 tackles and six passes defended.
Brown began his post-high school playing career at Garden City Community College in Kansas, where he had 41 tackles and a pair of pass breakups during the 2015 season.
