Golf

» Trion High School senior Noah Hankins signed a letter of intent this week to enroll in Georgia Northwestern Technical College and play golf for Bobcats coach Eddie Jackson, his personal instructor for years. "Noah is a young man that I've been working with since he was about 10 years old," Jackson said in a GNTC release. "Of all the young men I've signed in my two years as head coach, I think Noah is probably the most gifted and talented. I think the sky's the limit as far as his potential. He's got the entire game. He's a power hitter and he's got the short game." Hankins finished fifth as a freshman as Trion won the Class A Public School state tournament and helped the Bulldogs repeat the next year and finish in the top 10 again last season. "Noah is very talented. He has all of the shots, and he hits the ball a really long way," Trion coach Garret Brown said.
