SATURDAY'S STAR

LSU sophomore running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire led the Tigers' 275-yard rushing onslaught with 145 yards on 19 carries for an average of 7.6 yards a pop. Edwards-Helaire set the tone with a 47-yard run to Georgia's 7-yard line on the final play of the first quarter that enabled LSU to go up 10-0.

SATURDAY'S STAT

Georgia coach Kirby Smart is 27-8 in his third season with 20 wins in his past 23 games, but he now has three road losses by at least 20 points to SEC West teams. The Bulldogs fell to Ole Miss 45-14 during his first season in 2016 and lost at Auburn 40-17 last November.

HIGHLIGHT PLAY

The Bulldogs produced a beautiful second drive that included runs of 12 and 18 yards by D'Andre Swift and a 17-yarder by Elijah Holyfield in which he bowled over Tigers safety John Battle. Holyfield powering past Battle to the LSU 38 quickly became a highlight that was replayed multiple times on social media.

TURNING POINT

With 14 minutes and 39 seconds left, a Mecole Hardman 27-yard punt return to LSU's 38-yard line had Georgia in business after the Bulldogs had scored their first touchdown on the previous possession. On third-and-6 from the 34, Jake Fromm was sacked by JaCoby Stevens for a 9-yard loss, and Georgia punted.

WHAT IT MEANS

The Bulldogs likely have no more margin for error if they want to make a second consecutive trip to college football's four-team playoff. Georgia bounced back convincingly from last November's loss at Auburn, but there are a few more tests this time around, including upcoming games against Florida and Kentucky.
