Mocs report: After games against differing levels of competition, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga faces a similar sort of opponent tonight as it visits the Pirates. UTC was able to gain a victory against Division II member Lee University in its season opener, but the Mocs lost by 26 to fifth-ranked Louisville last Friday.

Cardinals report: Hampton overcame a slow start with a 15-7 third quarter and held on to defeat Florida Atlantic 72-68 in its season opener. The Pirates led by 10 points before a couple of late scores by the Owls trimmed the final deficit.

Key matchup: If the Mocs are going to achieve their dreams this season of returning back to Southern Conference glory, they're going to have to find their shooting stroke. So far this season, UTC is 5-for-26 from 3-point range, with some of those shots open looks. The Mocs don't need to be as 3-point happy as Florida Atlantic was against the Pirates (10-for-36), but they'll likely get some open looks, be it from 3-point range or inside. They're just going to have to hit them.
