Four-time Baylor School state champion and Cornell University NCAA champion Jordan Leen is going into the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association's hall of fame on March 9, and the recent announcement said he is thought to be the first person from Tennessee to be so honored by the oldest conference in college wrestling. Leen, who grew up in Soddy-Daisy, is by far the youngest of the group being inducted in Binghamton, New York, as the other three graduated from Lehigh in 1958, Yale in 1976 and Syracuse in 1992. Leen was in Cornell's class of 2009. Following his father into college coaching, he now is the associate head coach for the Pittsburgh Panthers after working at Duke and Virginia. After winning Tennessee prep titles in four weight classes and a National High School Seniors championship while at Baylor, Leen was a four-time NCAA qualifier and a three-time All-American at Cornell with eighth-, first- and third-place national finishes. He also was a first-team Academic All-American three times and was captain of EIWA title-winning teams in 2008 and 2009. His college record was 118-29.
