University of Tennessee at Chattanooga junior receiver Bryce Nunnelly picked up his third preseason All-American honor with the release of the 2019 Phil Steele FCS Preseason All-American Team this week.

Nunnelly, who had 1,237 yards and seven touchdowns on 79 catches last season, is on Steele's second team, a place he already attained on the STATS and HeroSports squads. He also is on the 2019 Walter Payton Award watch list and a preseason first-team All-Southern Conference selection.

Steele also released a three-tiered preseason All-SoCon list. Nunnelly, senior linebacker Marshall Cooper and junior defensive back Brandon Dowdell are all on the first team, as is junior offensive lineman Cole Strange. Senior running back Tyrell Price is on the Steele second team, the same spot he occupied on the league coaches' team. Junior defensive back Jerrell Lawson dropped down to the second team in Steele's predictions, after getting first-team recognition from the coaches.

Senior offensive linemen Malcolm While (first team) and Harrison Moon (second team), senior quarterback Nick Tiano (second team), senior defensive lineman Khayyan Edwards (second team), sophomore defensive lineman Devonnsha Maxwell (second team), junior fullback Torrez Finney (third team) and junior defensive back D.J. Jackson (third team) also made the Steele All-SoCon team.
