TIGERS REPORT

The Tigers picked up their best win of the season Thursday night, going on the road to defeat fifth-ranked Mississippi State 75-67. It was Missouri's third consecutive victory and fourth in five games. The Tigers have been led by Cunningham and Smith offensively, and it was Aldridge, Cunningham and Haley Troup who combined for 10 3-pointers and 48 points when Missouri beat Tennessee 66-64 last month in Knoxville.

KEY MATCHUP

Missouri has made 36 percent of its shots from 3-point range and has averaged more than eight 3-pointers made per game this season. More than 40 percent of the Tigers' field-goal attempts this season have come from long range, so Tennessee's challenge will be two-fold: The Lady Volunteers must not only diminish the quality of the Tigers' looks from behind the arc, they must also limit the number. And when the Lady Vols do take away the long-range looks, they have to defend against open drives to the basket. Missouri hurt the Lady Vols by capitalizing in that regard during the teams' first meeting this season.
