Chattanooga State is ranked No. 16 in the NJCAA Division I softball preseason Top 20 poll, and coach Blythe Golden's Lady Tigers are the only TCCAA team that made the list headed by Temple from Texas. Walters State from the TCCAA is No. 2 in the baseball poll behind Chipola, a Florida school.

» Campbellsville-Somerset from Kentucky defeated Georgia Northwestern 94-77 in men's basketball Tuesday night at the Rossville Athletic Center. The host Bobcats (3-12) led 49-46 at halftime but couldn't hold up for the long haul. J.T. Langford was limited by foul trouble but had 17 points and six rebounds in defeat, and Jayce Harris, Jeremy Wilson and Mark Chester added 13, 12 and 11 points. Chester also had six rebounds, and Wilson had six assists. Jarret Gill had seven rebounds and three blocked shots, and Kannen Derryberry contributed four steals with nine points.
