Basketball

» Jonathan King, Darius Turman and Domont'a Wright have joined the parade of Cleveland State men's basketball players moving on to four-year programs after the Cougars' remarkable run to the 2019 national tournament. King, who averaged 13 points a game as a sophomore, is headed to NCAA Division II member Young Harris. The other two are going to NAIA schools, Turman (7.1 ppg) to Edward Waters College in Jacksonville and Wright joining Cougars teammate Exavian Young at Blue Mountain in Mississippi. "Jonathan really came on near the end of the regular season and helped us with his ability to get to the basket and rebound," coach Lee Cigliano said in a release. "He is a strong athlete who should contribute immediately for Young Harris. Darius helped us with his athleticism, especially guarding smaller, quick guards. I think his game will go to another level at Edward Waters. Domont'a's season ended on a positive note after coming back from an injury and missing two months. He was a big reason we had success at the end of our season."
