The Southeastern Conference and ESPN revealed starting times on Thursday for the first three weeks of the 2019 college football season, which includes ESPN's additional platforms of ESPN2, ESPNU and the SEC Network. The contest between the Volunteers and Mocs inside Neyland Stadium will be televised by the SEC Network.

Tennessee holds a 38-2-2 series lead over the Mocs, with UTC's wins occurring in 1905 at Chattanooga's Chamberlain Field and in 1958 at Neyland. The Vols rolled to a 45-10 victory in their most recent meeting in 2014.

The first three starting times of Tennessee's season are now known. The Vols open Aug. 31 against Georgia State in a game that will be televised by ESPNU at 3:30 p.m., and their Sept. 7 matchup against visiting Brigham Young University will have an evening kick at 7 on ESPN.

Tennessee and BYU never have met before, but they will play again in 2023 in Provo, Utah, which will be the first trip to the Beehive State for the Vols.

Alabama's neutral-site opener against Duke inside Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Aug. 31 will be televised by ABC at 3:30. The Crimson Tide will begin their home schedule the following week against New Mexico State, with the SEC Network televising that contest at 4.

It was announced earlier this week that Alabama's trip to South Carolina on Sept. 14 would open the "SEC on CBS" 16-game schedule.

Georgia's opener Aug. 31 at Vanderbilt will be televised by the SEC Network at 7:30. The Bulldogs then will have two afternoon games at Sanford Stadium, facing Murray State on the SEC Network at 4 on Sept. 7 and Arkansas State on ESPN or ESPN2 at noon on Sept. 14.

Vanderbilt last served as Georgia's season-opening foe in 1956.

The SEC's two biggest nonconference games of the first three weeks previously were announced as ABC prime-time telecasts. Those two matchups are Auburn versus Oregon on Aug. 31 in Arlington, Texas, and LSU at Texas on Sept. 7.

ABC also has Texas A&M's trip to Clemson on Sept. 7, with that kickoff set for 3:30.
