The Lee University basketball teams handily defeated visiting Shorter in a Gulf South Conference doubleheader Monday evening, 97-60 for the 10th-ranked Lady Flames and 83-66 in the men's game. Camryn Grant shot 7-of-10 from the field and led the Lee women (7-0, 2-0) with 16 points, while Abby Bertram and Nicky Widenski scored 13 and 10 and Becca Cheeks had seven rebounds. Thirteen Lady Flames scored. For the Flames (3-3, 1-1), Ryan Montgomery continued his impressive season start with 20 points and nine rebounds, and Parker Suedekum had nine assists with 11 points.
