Georgia continues to assemble an impressive haul of in-state football commitments for the 2021 recruiting cycle, receiving a nonbinding pledge Tuesday from Carrollton High School linebacker Chaz Chambliss.

The 6-foot-2, 239-pound Chambliss is the nation's No. 18 outside linebacker and the No. 155 overall prospect, according to the 247Sports.com composite rankings. He amassed 25.5 tackles for loss and 15 sacks as a junior last season and picked the Bulldogs over other early scholarship offers from Alabama, Clemson, Michigan and Tennessee.

Chambliss, who made his announcement via a Twitter video, is Georgia's eighth commitment for the 2021 cycle and the seventh from a Peach State recruit. Georgia's class was 16th as of Tuesday afternoon in the 247Sports team rankings, but the average prospect ranking of 94.05 compiled by the Bulldogs was third behind Ohio State (95.34) and Clemson (94.85).
