Tennessee announced 20 signees Wednesday, the first day of college football's early signing period for the 2022 recruiting cycle.

OL MAURICE CLIPPER
6-5, 300, Alpharetta, Georgia (Milton)
- Preferred to be called "Mo," Clipper is rated by ESPN.com as the nation's No. 13 guard prospect, and he is the No. 35 interior offensive line recruit on the 247Sports.com composite rankings
- Helped lead Milton to an undefeated regular season and to the AAAAAAA quarterfinals as a junior
- Committed to Tennessee in July after picking the Vols over 17 other Division I offers, including 10 from Power Five programs
OL BRIAN GRANT
6-8, 280, Fort Walton Beach, Florida (Choctawhatchee)
- The consensus three-star recruit is rated by ESPN as the nation's No. 69 offensive tackle prospect
- Helped lead Choctawhatchee to an impressive turnaround as a senior, with the Indians finishing 6-4 after going winless in 2020
- Played on both sides of the ball
- Also played basketball and threw the shot put and discus for the track and field team
- Would instantly be the tallest player on Tennessee's roster, topping the 6-7 tandem of freshman tight end Trinity Bell and redshirt sophomore tackle Dayne Davis
DB CHRISTIAN HARRISON
6-0, 183, Atlanta (Woodward Academy)
- The son of former Pro Bowl defensive back Rodney Harrison is a consensus three-star recruit
- Intercepted three passes, broke up five and forced two fumbles his senior season
- Helped Woodward Academy's defense give up only 10.9 points per game in an 11-1 season
- Also played some wide receiver, totaling 18 receptions for 351 yards and three touchdowns during the past two seasons
LB ELIJAH HERRING
6-2, 225, Murfreesboro (Riverdale)
- The consensus three-star recruit is originally from Newnan, Georgia, but played his final two seasons at Riverdale
- Racked up 67 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, five sacks, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries as a senior
- Totaled 51 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks as a junior
- Helped lead Riverdale to a 10-2 record and the second round of the Class 6A state playoffs this past season
- Also played some wide receiver, totaling 21 receptions for 309 yards and a touchdown over the past two seasons
QB TAYVEN JACKSON
6-4, 198, Greenwood, Indiana (Center Grove)
- Jackson, a consensus four-star recruit, led Center Grove to back-to-back undefeated Class 6A state championships and to 28 victories
- Selected as a prestigious 2021 Elite 11 quarterback
- Shattered the school record for career passing yards, completing 329 of 547 passes for 4,813 yards and 47 touchdowns
- Completed 124 of 187 passes for 1,842 yards with 21 touchdowns and only three interceptions as a senior
- In the 2021 state championship game win versus Westfield, finished 12 of 14 for 152 yards with a touchdown and ran for another score
- On the state title run as a junior, he completed 113 of- 182 passes for 1,756 yards with 17 touchdowns to go along with 46 carries for 191 yards and six scores
- Helped guide Center Grove to a Class 4A sectional basketball title last winter, averaging 12.4 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game
DE JOSHUA JOSEPHS
6-3, 215, Kennesaw, Georgia (North Cobb)
- The four-star prospect according to 247Sports has a verified 82-inch wingspan
- Led his high school to two consecutive Region 3 championships and was a team captain
- As a senior, tallied 104 tackles and six sacks as the leader of a defense that allowed only 17.5 points per game
- Racked up 98 tackles with seven tackles for loss and four sacks his junior season.
WR CAMERON MILLER
6-1, 195, Memphis (Academy of Health Sciences)
- Rated as a four-star prospect and the No. 47 receiver nationally by both Rivals and ESPN.com
- The Tennessee Mr. Football finalist in Class 2A led the Memphis Academy of Health Sciences to an 11-2 overall record and a state quarterfinal appearance, which was the best season in program history
- Caught 14 passes for 258 yards (18.4 yards per catch) with 10 touchdowns as a Lions senior while also rushing 41 times for 493 yards (12.0 yards per rush) with eight scores
- Did not get to participate as a junior due to COVID-related restrictions
OL ADDISON NICHOLS
6-5, 315, Atlanta (Greater Atlanta Christian)
- The consensus four-star prospect can play tackle or guard
- He is the No. 4 interior offensive lineman nationally according to 247Sports and is the No. 15 offensive tackle according to Rivals.com
- Selected to represent the East region at the All-American Bowl in January 2022
- A captain who helped lead GAC to an undefeated regular season as a junior in 2020
- Had more than 30 Division I offers, including nine from SEC programs
WR CHAS NIMROD
6-3, 183, Bentonville, Arkansas (Bentonville)
- The No. 5 player in Arkansas according to Rivals.com led Bentonville to an 8-2 record during the 2021 regular season, hauling in 46 catches for 919 yards and 11 touchdowns
- Collected all-state honors as a junior in 2020, racking up 34 catches for 772 yards and 12 touchdowns
- Also runs track and was a member of the 400-meter relay team that set a school record in April
- The Vols did not have a player from Arkansas on this year's roster
DE JAMES PEARCE
6-5, 220, Charlotte (Chambers)
- Helped lead Chambers to four consecutive North Carolina Class 4A championship games, including back-to-back state titles in 2019 and 2020
- As a senior, he racked up 14.5 sacks, 14 tackles for loss, nine pass breakups, three forced fumbles, two safeties and two interceptions
- A four-star prospect and the No. 22 edge rusher nationally on the 247Sports.com composite rankings
LB KALIB PERRY
6-3, 215, Georgetown, Ky. (Great Crossing)
- Perry is the first Great Crossing football player to sign with a Division I program
- The No. 4 player in the state of Kentucky according to ESPN and No. 6 according to Rivals.com and 247Sports.com
- Posted a team-high 85 tackles in 2021 with 9.5 tackles for loss on an 8-3 team his senior season
- Amassed 140 tackles with one interception in just eight games his junior season
- His 17.5 tackles per game as a junior were the most of any player in Kentucky's Class 5A
DL JORDAN PHILLIPS
6-2, 300, Orlando (Ocoee High)
- The No. 47 defensive tackle in the country according to 247Sports.com totaled 56 tackles with a whopping 29 tackles for loss and 11.5 sacks his senior year
- Posted 71 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, five sacks and two forced fumbles in eight games his junior season
- Also competed in wrestling and weightlifting at Ocoee and qualified for the 3A state tournament in both sports as a junior
- Committed to the Vols in July and is participating in Music City Bowl practices
OL MASAI REDDICK
6-5, 328, Detroit (Class Technical)
- The three-star prospect according to 247Sports, Rivals.com and ESPN headed an offensive line at Cass Technical High School which went a combined 16-5 the last two seasons
- Tennessee has two players on this season's roster from Michigan, fifth-year senior linebacker Nick Humphrey (Monroe) and redshirt sophomore defensive back Kamal Hadden (River Rouge)
RB DYLAN SAMPSON
5-11, 185, Baton Rouge, Louisiana (Dutchtown)
- The three-star prospect shattered former Alabama standout and Dutchtown alum Eddie Lacy's program record for all-time rushing yards, racking up 4,927 yards on 521 carries
- Also broke the school's single-game rushing mark with 23 carries for 287 yards and four touchdowns against Ouachita in October
- Finished his senior season as a team captain with 1,673 all-purpose yards, 1,374 rushing yards and 22 total touchdowns
- Averaged 9.28 yards per carry as a senior
- A standout on the track as well, Sampson has been timed at 10.48 seconds in the 100, 21.16 in the 200 and at 4.32 in the 40-yard dash
DB JOURDAN THOMAS
6-2, 187, Montgomery, Alabama (Catholic Prep)
- A former quarterback who became a consensus three-star defensive back
- Selected to play in the Mississippi-Alabama All-Star Classic
- In three seasons of varsity football, totaled 145 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, seven sacks, seven interceptions and three fumble recoveries
- Made 48 tackles, two tackles for loss, one interception and three fumble recoveries – returning two for touchdowns – as a senior
- Helped lead Montgomery Catholic Prep to three straight Region championships, including an undefeated regular season, a 13-1 overall record and a Region 4 title as a senior
WR KALEB WEBB
6-3, 190, Powder Springs, Georgia (McEachern)
- The four-star prospect caught 83 passes for 1,601 yards and 18 touchdowns as a senior to earn all-state accolades
- Became the first McEachern player to tally more than 1,000 receiving yards in a season since 2015
- The team captain also was a threat on special teams, totaling 807 return yards and scoring four return touchdowns as a senior
- Helped McEachern rebound from a disappointing 2020 season to win Georgia's 7A Region 2 title in 2021 and lead the Indians to the second round of the state playoffs
DL TYRE WEST
6-3, 280, Tifton, Georgia (Tift County)
- Ranked No. 74 nationally on the ESPN 300, West was named Georgia's Region 1-7A Defensive Player of the Year as senior
- Earned all-region honors in all four years of his prep career
- Totaled 48 tackles, 16 quarterback hurries, 12.5 sacks and two forced fumbles his junior season
- Had 53 tackles, 10 TFLs, two sacks, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries as a sophomore
- Made 41 tackles, seven TFLs, six sacks and one fumble recovering as a freshman
WR MARQUAVIUS WHITE
5-10, 160, Birmingham (Clay-Chalkville)
- The consensus three-star prospect compiled 1,162 receiving yards on 49 catches with 16 touchdowns as a senior
- His team won the 2021 Alabama High School Athletic Association 6A state football championship, 46-42, on Dec. 3, completing a 15-0 senior season
- Also recorded a pair of interceptions this past season

DB DESMOND WILLIAMS

- Preferred to be called "Dee", Williams is rated by 247Sports as the nation's No. 3 junior-college cornerback by 247Sports and the No. 8 overall junior-college prospect
- Collected seven interceptions and had 14 breakups this year to earn NJCAA All-Region 23 accolades
- Totaled 13 picks for his career at ECCC and made 103 tackles in 23 games
- Experienced in the return game, averaging 27.9 yards per kickoff return and 50.7 yards per punt return with a touchdown in each category
- Returned a punt 87 yards for a touchdown in a game vs. Copiah-Lincoln in October
- Originally from Forsyth, where he prepped at Mary Persons High School
RB JUSTIN WILLIAMS
6-0, 205, Dallas, Georgia (East Paulding)
- The consensus four-star prospect committed and signed with the Vols on Wednesday
- Finished his senior season with 2,116 all-purpose yards, 1,896 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns
- Piled up 1,368 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns as a junior in 2020
- Also ran track and excelled off the field as well with a 4.0 GPA
- Chose Tennessee over 25 other Division I offers, including 18 Power 5 programs
