Three-star receiver Marquarius White becomes Tennessee's ninth commitment

Tennessee received its ninth football commitment for the 2022 signing cycle Thursday afternoon, receiving a nonbinding pledge from receiver Marquarius White.

The 5-foot-10, 155-pounder from the Birmingham suburb of Pinson is a three-star talent and the nation's No. 68 receiver and No. 500 prospect overall, according to the 247Sports.com composite rankings. White is the highest-ranked commitment for the Volunteers other than four-star quarterback Tayven Jackson of Greenwood, Indiana, who is the nation's No. 323 recruit.

Tennessee's nine commitments are ranked 43rd nationally by 247Sports and 12th within the Southeastern Conference.
