Georgia has never finished lower than sixth nationally in football recruiting during the Kirby Smart era, and the 2022 signing cycle is not looking like the exception.

The Bulldogs on Sunday afternoon received a nonbinding pledge from Jalon Walker, a 6-foot-2, 220-pound outside linebacker from Salisbury, North Carolina. Walker is the nation's No. 4 outside linebacker and the No. 50 prospect overall in the 247Sports.com composite rankings.

Georgia moved up to No. 2 in the 247Sports team standings behind Ohio State for the 2022 cycle, with seven of the Bulldogs' 10 commitments ranked among the nation's top 100 players. The Bulldogs assembled the nation's top signing classes in 2018 and 2020.
