Soccer

» A 35th-minute goal by midfielder Hollie Massey gave the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga a 1-0 women's soccer exhibition win Friday against Belmont in Nashville. Everyone available for UTC got in the game, including three goalkeepers. The last of those, transfer Abbey Saddler, made a diving save to maintain the shutout. Chloe Arnold had three of the Mocs' five shots on goal, and Massey had the other two. On her score, she received a pass on the left sideline from Maddie Burman and broke free, drawing out the keeper and eluding her. The Mocs will play another exhibition Sunday at Tennessee Tech and then open the season at 6 p.m. Friday against Austin Peay at the UTC Sports Complex next to Engel Stadium.
