An article highlighting the country's top climbing gyms released online this weekend by the sport's leading magazine featured a Chattanooga venue.

High Point Climbing Gym earned a spot in Climbing Magazine's, "America's 10 Best Climbing Gyms."

Gyms from places around the country like Utah, New York, Missouri are also featured in the piece.

The article, penned by Shannon Davis and Elliott Natz, appeared in the magazine's print edition earlier this year. It describes High Point as, "perhaps the only gym in the country to offer indoor and outdoor climbing right on site."

"In a staff visit, Climbing editors loved how the gym's rooms were organized for bouldering, instruction, toproping, lead climbing, and training," the article reads.

It's not the first time Climbing Magazine has issued praise for the Broad Street gym that opened in 2014.

A piece published on the magazine's website this summer was headlined "Chattanooga: America's New Climbing Capitol." It praised High Point for being, "a destination" within an area known for its many outdoor climbing locales.

High Point also acquired Urban Rocks Gym on Appling Street in 2015, and a soft opening for the company's new Birmingham facility is scheduled for November 10.
