Soddy-Daisy chapter of Tennessee Trails Assn. hikes: Saturday, Signal Mountain Rainbow Falls trailhead to Edwards Point & back, moderate to strenuous 5 miles (meet at 9 a.m. at trailhead on Ohio Avenue, just past Alexian Village; call Kathy Daniels at 931-265-1661); Tuesday, John's Mountain/Keown Falls, 5 miles, easy & moderate/strenuous options (meet at 9 a.m. at Food City in East Ridge; call Trish Appleton at 240-3443); Nov. 17, Retro Hughes trailhead to Immodium Falls & back, moderately strenuous nearly 8 miles (meet at 9 a.m. at Durham Street parking lot in Soddy-Daisy; call John Politte at 332-7186); Nov. 20, Cravens House to Lookout Point & back, 3 miles (meet at 9 a.m. at Food City in Red Bank or 9:30 at Cravens House; call Nancy Allen at 344-1118).

Muzzleloader/archery deer season: Through Nov. 16 in Tennessee, limit of 2 antlerless per day in Units A & B, 1 in Unit D, 1 antlered per day, 2 per license year.

Savage Falls hike: Nov. 16, 10 a.m.-noon; meet at Savage Gulf trailhead just off Highway 399. Call 931-924-2980.

Deer firearms season: Nov. 17-Jan. 6 in Tennessee, 2 antlerless per day in Unit A, 1 in Units B & D, 1 antlered per day, 2 per license year; through Jan. 13 in Georgia, season limit of 10 anterless & 2 antlered.

Interscholastic Climbing League: Nov. 17, High Point Riverside; first of six 2018-19 meets at three local climbing centers; grades 6-12. Contact Outdoor Chattanooga at info@outdoorchattanooga.com or 643-6888.

Chattanooga Bicycle Club meeting: Nov. 19, 6-7 p.m., Outdoor Chattanooga, Coolidge Park; for recreational cyclists.

Remaining dove hunting seasons: Nov. 22-Jan. 15 in Georgia; Dec. 8-Jan. 15 in Tennessee; half-hour before sunrise till sunset; daily limit 15 per hunter, not counting collared doves.

Wild Trails 200 Mile Club: Encourages improved fitness; cover 200 miles in three months under one's own power, whether by running, biking, swimming, paddling, walking or other aerobic activities. Anyone interested can start at any time by registering at wildtrails.org/200-mile-club and recording his or her progress there. Getting to 200 makes one a member, and the membership card secures discounts at a variety of places. Club activities include a campout, barbecue and 15k/5k trail races every three months at Lula Lake Land Trust.
