» Pedal to Paddle the South Chick Creek greenway & blueway: Friday, 3-6 p.m.; leisurely, guided 2.5-mile bike ride to Sterchi Farm Park for beginner-friendly canoe rides back to the start; $20, $10 for ages 8-12 riding in a canoe with 2 adults; payment in advance required. Call 643-6888.

» IRONKIDS Chattanooga Fun Run: Saturday, 9 a.m., Ross's Landing (registration 7:30-8:30, also noon-6:30 p.m. Friday).

» Chickamauga Battlefield free bike tour: Saturday, 9:30-11:30 a.m., leisurely 3- to 4-mile ride from visitors center with history talks; adults & kids ages 8-up (with adult) welcome; helmets required. Bicycles can be reserved by calling 706-866-9241.

» Full Moon Kayak Tour: Sunday, 8-10 p.m., Chickamauga Lake; led by Outdoor Chattanooga; appropriate for adults & ages 14-up accompanied by adult; $35, covers equipment; pre-payment required. Email info@outdoorchattanooga.com or call 643-6888.

» Sunbelt Ironman 70.3 Chattanooga: Sunday, 6:50 a.m. swim start 1 mile up Tennessee River from Ross's Landing transitions area.

» Chattanooga Bicycle Club meeting: Monday, 6-7 p.m., Outdoor Chattanooga, Coolidge Park; for recreational cyclists.

» Rapid Learning intro to kayak & skills practice: Wednesdays, 6-7 & 7-8 p.m., Chester Frost Park, end of swimming beach by first boat ramp; family-friendly for ages 8-up; $75 for individual year's membership, $125 for family; first-timers free; equipment provided, reservations not required.
